As a concert and event photographer, I am shooting, on
location, nearly every night. When I'm not capturing
events, I'm capturing candids and nature and anything that catches my
eye. My camera is never far from reach, as I see something worth shooting at
every turn. I love to shoot people that are unaware of the camera. I oftentimes
shoot from the hip and catch my subjects off guard. At this point, I am so connected with my
camera that I rarely need to even look through the lens to fire off a good shot.
That just goes to show how many photographs I've taken over the years! :) I
don't carry around my bulky, expensive equipment...I rarely have a need for it.
I've been taught that a great photographer can take a visually pleasing
photograph with any camera. I like to keep things natural and use my instincts
and my eye. That's not to say I won't make alterations with photo programs, if a
photo can be enhanced, I may mildly manipulate it. I only made the switch from
my 35mm film camera to a digital, last year. I was too stubborn to join the
masses. But, I finally gave in... :)
